Pending Home Sales up 6.4 percent in August

The National Association of Realtors® points out that their Pending Home Sales Index has tracked a record seven straight months of increased pending home sales.
Could it be that the $8,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers had an influence? That program is set to expire at the end of this month, but congress is considering expanding it.
